ASBURY FEVER
Bruce Springsteen Tribute
When fans close their eyes at an Asbury Fever concert, they often think they're listening to Bruce Springsteen! At least that's what they tell Asbury Fever lead-singer Brad Hobicorn. This Jersey Shore tribute band came together in January 2002 when Hobicorn decided to make a childhood fantasy come true. Asbury Fever is based on the song "The Fever" by Springsteen and Asbury because of Asbury Park's deep musical history.
The band plays mostly Springsteen, and, adds other Jersey Shore music from Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Bon Jovi and John Eddie. "The core is always the Jersey Shore," he said. "But with us you get that whole diversity." "People down here in the Shore area have a reverence for it," he said. "We're just trying to carry the music and the soundtrack of the Jersey Shore. I don't think any other band has that as their motivation."
